Safety Insurance has measured the rapid adoption of smartphones and tablets among its policyholders and sought to be on the leading edge of insurance carriers offering consumer self-service on such mobile devices. Sword Insurance was selected to help develop a strategy and implement software solutions for Safety for mobile apps and mobile web implementations of First Notice of Loss reporting and agent finder features on both the iPhone and Android platforms. Safety has already used Sword Insurance for agency interface and comparative rating system integrations.

The iPhone application was rolled out in mid-April. The Android application will be available at the end of Q2 of 2011.
