MINNEAPOLIS, June 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Cargill today announced a $12.5 million expansion of its Mason City, Iowa facility, which will result in an expected increase of 20 jobs once it is completed. About $2 million of the expansion investment will be spent with local suppliers and contractors during the construction phase.
"We have a tremendous workforce in Mason City, and we are very pleased to invest additional resources in the community," said Troy Swanson, Mason City Plant Manager for Cargill Kitchen Solutions. Work on the expansion will begin this summer and the expansion will be fully operational by Spring 2012.
