Scott Matthias Installed as President
The Colorado Association of REALTORS® (CAR) installed its 2011-2012 Leadership Council during the organization's 91st annual State Convention held in Denver for the first time. Scott Matthias, broker associate with RE/MAX Professionals Inc. of Denver, was installed as president.
A Denver-native and 24-year real estate industry veteran who has helped nearly 1,000 families purchase a home, Matthias brings extensive professional leadership experience at the local, state and national level. In addition, he is an active volunteer with several charitable organizations serving children and providing housing assistance in the United States and in other countries.
"We're very excited to welcome Scott as our president and leader for the coming year," said CAR CEO Robert Golden. "He's been instrumental in helping drive so many positive initiatives for our association over the past two decades and we're thrilled to have him share his passion and vision for the association and the industry as the leader of our organization."

The board's main responsibilities include leading and coordinating volunteer efforts of the association aimed at maintaining stability in Colorado's real estate industry, protecting private property rights, supporting efforts for affordable housing opportunities and providing resources and services designed to help Colorado REALTORS® succeed in their business.
