Innotech Solar Establishes Sales Hub in USA

Finanznachrichten News

VISTA, California, November 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --

In response to the growing demand from the United States and Latin America for Innotech Solar panels, Innotech Solar (ITS) has established Innotech Solar U.S.A., a sales entity in Vista, California.

"With the decreasing costs of solar systems, we are increasing our focus on markets with a lot of sunshine, soaring electricity prices and high purchasing power," stated Robert Händel, CSO at Innotech Solar Group.

The feedback on ITS panels that have been installed in several states across the U.S. has been positive, and a joint research project with the University of California, San Diego, completed earlier this year, showed excellent results regarding the efficiency of ITS panels. Innotech Solar already maintains a solid presence in Europe and China, so the U.S. is the next natural key-growth market for the company. In Europe Innotech Solar has two cell processing facilities, in Norway and Germany, with a capacity of more than 160 MW. Furthermore it is one of the few companies that has extended not only purchasing but also sales activities into Asia. With offices in Shanghai and Hong Kong Innotech Solar supplies customers in over five provinces in China.

"The location in Southern California not only gives us access to the largest single market in the U.S., but also to the fast-growing Mexican and Latin American markets," Robert Händel explained.

"I joined Innotech Solar because of its exceptional and competitive products, as well as the flexibility and technical know-how of the team," said Georg Eversheim, Managing Director of Innotech Solar U.S.A., who is supported by a staff of five. Georg Eversheim also pointed out that "Innotech Solar puts effort into controlling manufacturing costs; that will allow Innotech Solar to be cost compatible."

In addition to offering standard modules, ITS also manufactures small modules in the range of 1.5 Wp to 135 Wp and custom-made panels for special applications such as solar streetlights and parking structures. The first installations totaling 50kW of Innotech Solar modules went into operation last week in Southern California.

"We are trying to do the right thing to provide the best products for our partners," said Georg Eversheim.
