Jefferies Expands Industrials Investment Banking

Jefferies today announced the appointment of Gunter Frangenberg, Ph.D. as a Managing Director in the Global Industrials Investment Banking Group and Americas Head of Chemicals Investment Banking. Mr. Frangenberg will be based in the firm's New York office.

Mr. Frangenberg brings to Jefferies more than 13 years of experience and joins the firm from Bank of America Merrill Lynch (previously Merrill Lynch), where he spent five years and was a Managing Director within the Multi-Industries Investment Banking Group, specializing in the Chemicals sector. Previously, he spent six years at Deutsche Bank as a Vice President in the Chemicals, Energy and Utilities Investment Banking Group. Prior to that, he was an Associate at Sherman & Sterling in their Corporate Finance Group. Mr. Frangenberg received his Ph.D. and JD in Law from Bonn University and his Masters in Law from Duke University.
