Winnick Family Foundation Names Andrew S. Kane Executive Director

Finanznachrichten News

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --The Winnick Family Foundation, under the leadership of Karen and Gary Winnick, has appointed a new Executive Director to replace Rosalie Zalis, who is retiring after 13 years of service with the Foundation. Andy Kane assumed the post on February 1, 2012.

In addition to his current roles as Managing Director and COO of Pacific Capital Group, Mr. Kane has an extensive background in banking and finance. He was Managing Partner of Arthur Andersen in Los Angeles and CEO of HSBC's Private Bank in Southern California. "His multiple Board experiences - at Temple of the Arts, Center Theatre Group, United Way, LA World Affairs Council, Beverly Hills Performing Arts Center, Jewish Student Union, The British American Business Council and the American Friends of the London School of Economics (from which he graduated) - will serve him well in this position,' commented Karen Winnick, Chair of the Foundation, on his appointment. Mr. Kane is also a director at East West Bank, one of the largest US Banks headquartered in Los Angeles. "Andy's community and civic background will be a valued asset for the Foundation in the years to come," according to Gary Winnick.

The Winnick Family Foundation focuses its giving in the general program areas of Education, Health Care, Art and Culture and the Jewish Community. The Foundation prefers project-specific programs to qualified 501©(3) tax exempt charitable organizations, but it also selectively supports capital campaigns and provides unrestricted support to grantee organizations. There is a preference for projects in Los Angeles or New York or those having an international component.
