Three Free Webinars on Mobile App Development and Social Media to be Held on May 30, Jun. 5 and 14
University of California, Irvine Extension will offer an online course titled "Application Development for Social Networking" from July 2 through Aug.12 to meet the demands of app users in the mobile technology industry, and also provide techniques to develop, implement and distribute these programs. In addition, UC Irvine Extension will also offer free webinars called, "Mobile Development for Apple iPhone and iPad Information Session," "Application Development for Android Devices Information Session" and "Social Networking Programming Information Session" to address trends that currently impact the development of mobile, social media and tablet applications.
"Due to the increasing consumer demand for smart phones and tablets, the development of applications for mobile devices has continued to expand," said Dr. Dave Dimas, director of engineering, sciences and information technology at UC Irvine Extension. "UC Irvine Extension continues to offer these courses to application development professionals to help them remain competitive in the industry."
The online "Application Development for Social Networking" course provides attendees with hands-on programming experience and will address how to develop sample applications from start to finish. The course will discuss the capabilities of social networks through various programming APIs and engage in the process of registration for developer accounts including downloading, installing and configuring the development environment, while also distributing the new application. Course participants must have basic programming knowledge as well as experience working with HTML and JavaScript.
The course instructor is Ralf Brockhaus, CEO of Smilefish Inc., which specializes in mobile development, iPhone Application Development, Social Media Applications, and Agile Development Practices. Brockhaus has previously held programming positions with IBM and Contract Software.
The "Social Network Programming Information Session" free online webinar will take place on May 30 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will address how to form and optimize social networks.
A free webinar titled, "Mobile Development for Apple iPhone and iPad Information Session," will take place on June 5 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. PST, and will provide attendees with insight on the latest tips and developments in mobile technology. In addition, the webinar will also address knowledge on how to program an app compatible with an iPhone and iPad.
An additional free webinar titled, "Application Development for Android Devices Information Session," will take place on June 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. PST. Gain an overview of the latest Android app development trends and their influence in the technology industry.
