NORFOLK (dpa-AFX) - Norfolk Southern Corp. (NSC) said it has appointed Elizabeth Kennedy Lawlor as vice president government relations. Headquartered in Montgomery, Ala., she will coordinate the company's government relations activities in Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee.
Lawlor joined Norfolk Southern in 2010 as manager government relations. Prior to joining NS, she was director of legislative affairs and manager of political affairs for the Business Council of Alabama for five years and chief of staff in the Alabama Legislature's Office of the House Majority Leader for four years.
