PEKING (dpa-AFX) - China will on Thursday see the December results for its non-manufacturing purchasing managers' index, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity. In November, the PMI saw a score of 55.6.
Hong Kong will release retail sales data for November; in October, retail sales were up an annual 3.6 percent.
India will provide December numbers for imports, exports and trade balance. In November, imports were worth $41.59 billion and exports were at $22.30 billion for a trade deficit of $19.29 billion.
Finally, the markets in Japan remained closed on holiday.
