FORT WORTH (dpa-AFX) - AMR Corp. (AAMRQ.PK) reported December 2012 consolidated revenue and traffic results for its principal subsidiary, American Airlines, Inc., and its wholly owned subsidiary, AMR Eagle Holding Corporation.
Load factor for December 2012 was 80.2%, up 0.1 points from 80.1% reported in December 2011.
AMR reported that its traffic in December 2012 increased 2.1% from 2011, on a capacity increase of 2.0%.
The airline's December available seat miles or capacity was 14.08 billion, up 2.0% from 13.81 billion in the prior year period.
Passenger boardings for December 2012 increased 2.3 percent to 8.938 million compared to 8.740 million for the same period last year.
December's consolidated passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) increased an estimated 1.6 percent versus the same period last year.
