CANBERA (dpa-AFX) - Australia is scheduled to release a batch of data on Monday, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economy activity. On tap are November figures for job advertisements, credit card purchases and home loans, as well as December numbers for inflation expectations.
Job ads were down 2.9 percent on month in October, while credit card purchases were at A$22.5 billion. Home loans were up 0.1 percent in the previous month, while the value of loans was down 0.2 percent. Inflation forecasts called for an increase of 2.5 percent on year and a decline of 0.1 percent on month in November.
Also, stock markets in Japan are closed on Monday for Coming of Age Day, and will re-open on Tuesday.
