TOKYO (dpa-AFX) - The Bank of Japan will on Tuesday conclude its monetary policy meeting and then announce its decision on interest rates, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
The BoJ is widely expected to keep rates at the current record low of 0 to 0.10 percent, although analysts are expecting perhaps some additional form of monetary easing.
Japan also will see the final November figures for its leading and coincident indexes, with little change expected from the preliminary readings that suggested scores of 91.9 and 90.1, respectively.
Malaysia will provide unemployment data for November; in October, the unemployment rate was 3.5 percent and the participation rate came in at 64.8 percent.
