CANBERA (dpa-AFX) - Australia will on Wednesday release inflation figures for the fourth quarter of 2012, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
Inflation is expected to rise 2.4 percent on year and 0.4 percent on quarter after collecting an annual 2.0 percent and 1.4 percent on quarter in the previous three months.
Singapore will release inflation data for December, with forecasts suggesting an increase of 3.8 percent on year and 0.4 percent on month after rising an annual; 3.6 percent and 0.1 percent on month in November.
Malaysia will provide inflation figures for December, with analysts expecting the rate to rise to 1.4 percent from 1.3 percent in November - when CPI also rose 0.1 percent on month.
China will see the December results for the Conference Board's leading and coincident indexes; in November, they were up 1.1 percent and 0.9 percent, respectively.
