LOS ANGELES, Jan. 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --Rotten Tomatoes', the web's leading aggregator of reviews from top movie critics, today announced the recipients of its annual Golden Tomato Awards - honoring the best-reviewed films of 2012 according to critics (entire list follows).
The Golden Tomato for the best-reviewed wide release of 2012 is presented to Warner Bros. Pictures' Argo. According to the Tomatometer, which measures the percentage of positive reviews from Rotten Tomatoes' critics, Argo received a 96% positive rating based on 253 reviews. Jafar Panahi's documentary This is Not a Film is presented the Golden Tomato Award for best-reviewed film in limited release. This is Not a Film received a 99% positive rating based on a total of 146 reviews.
Argo director/ star Ben Affleck will appear with Rotten Tomatoes' Editor-in-Chief Matt Atchity and Senior Editor Grae Drake on a special Golden Tomato Awards edition of SiriusXM's live, call-in Rotten Tomatoes' Radio show airing today from 6:00 - 7:00 pm ET on SiriusXM Stars Too (channel 104).
