CarePoint Partners' Nutrition Program Director Receives Distinguished Nutrition Support Dietitian Service Award

CINCINNATI, Feb. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --The American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (A.S.P.E.N.) today presented Marianne Duda with the Distinguished Nutrition Support Dietitian Service Award during the President's Address at Clinical Nutrition Week 2013. The award is given to the dietitian member who has made exceptional leadership and practice contributions that have furthered the vision and mission of the Society over a sustained period of time. She is Nutrition Program Director at Cincinnati-based CarePoint Partners (CarePoint), one of the leading independent home infusion networks in the nation.

"There are a number of worthy candidates for this distinguished award, so I am truly honored to be recognized among such a select group of dietitian professionals," Ms. Duda humbly acknowledged upon accepting the award. "Like my peers, my goal has been to improve the quality of life for patients through nutrition therapies. As a longtime member of A.S.P.E.N., I believe the best way to do this is by advancing the science and practice of clinical nutrition and I am committed to continuing to do so," she concluded.

As Nutrition Program Director at CarePoint, Ms. Duda oversees the company's Nutrition Now program developed to deliver a full complement of services to those adjusting to home nutrition support therapies as well as those patients who are living to the fullest as long-term consumers of parenteral and enteral nutrition. Marianne has served on the National Board for Nutrition Support Certification (NBNSC) Examination Committee, the A.S.P.E.N. Online Self-Assessment Program Committee, and multiple other committees and task forces. Currently she is a member of the Florida Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (FSPEN), where she also served as a past president and member of the Board of Directors.
