WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. (BMRN) Thursday reported fourth-quarter net loss of $53.0 million or $0.43 per share, wider than $26.7 million or $0.23 per share in the comparable quarter last year.
On average, 18 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to lose $0.27 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Total revenues for the quarter grew to $131.94 million from $107.85 million last year, while 17 analysts estimated revenues of $129.74 million for the quarter.
