KANSAS CITY, Mo., March 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --Toyota will be bringing several of its newest, hottest vehicles to the Kansas City Auto Shownext week. While the entire Toyota lineup will be positioned in Bartle Hall Convention Center, show goers will have the opportunity to engage in local test drives of a number of these cars and trucks.
The Toyota Drive Center is a specifically designed drive route utilizing local streets around the convention center. Guests will be accompanied by a professional right seat driver who's responsible for providing an enjoyable and safe drive of the Toyota vehicles, while informing occupants about key vehicle and brand features. Registration for the Toyota Drive Center is in the main lobby of Bartle Hall, at the Central and 13th Street entrance.
Toyota products featured in the ride and drive program include: Avalon, Camry, Prius c, RAV4 and Tundra. The ride and drive program will be in operation the last three days of the auto show. Dates and hours include: Friday, March 8, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, March 9, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, March 10, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In conjunction with this outdoor activity, Toyota has partnered with three esteemed charities in the company's "Drive for A Cause" campaign. For those show attendees who fully participate in the ride and drive program, they will have the opportunity to choose from one of the three charities - American Red Cross, AMVETS and National Parks Foundation - and Toyota will make a contribution to that organization on their behalf. As an extra bonus, all patrons who complete the ride and drive will receive a complimentary gift from Toyota, while supplies last.
Inside the convention center, Toyota will have a number of interactive features in its exhibit. Toyota will also pay homage to its involvement at the Kansas Speedway, with motorsports elements including: an official Kansas Speedway Camry pace car, a racing simulator, a pit stop display and regularly scheduled drawings for race tickets for upcoming events.
