DENVER, March 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Homeowners are invited to a seminar designed to provide important decision-making advice and best practices from four local real estate professionals. The free seminar, held Monday, March 18th, will cover topics such as what appeals to potential buyers, prioritizing what to fix before listing, whether a buyer is qualified to purchase a home, and what the Boulder County real estate market is truly like in current conditions. A realtor, home staging expert, inspector, and mortgage banker are the panelists slated to speak.
"For those who are considering selling their home, or have never done it before, we'll offer a wealth of information so they can make the best decisions during the process," said Mary Ellen Wood, a Realtor in the Boulder County market. "This is a no-pressure seminar intended to cover all the bases when it comes to selling one of the largest investments a family has," she said.
The current market conditions in Boulder County are encouraging for those looking to sell. With lower than normal inventory, homes are selling quickly and for top dollar. Current data for both Boulder and Louisville shows that the average number of days it took to find a buyer for a home reduced dramatically over the prior year, while median home prices went up over the same period. For example in Louisville, single-family homes went under contract in almost 40% less time than the previous year. The activity for home sales means sellers have an advantage over buyers; however, this doesn't necessarily mean every home listed is going to fly off the market. This seminar will educate participants on what a seller's market means for them, and how best to take advantage of the current conditions when preparing to sell their home.
The seminar is at Louisville Recreation Center on Monday, March 18th from 6pm-8pm. There is no cost to attend.
