DALLAS (dpa-AFX) - AT&T Inc. (T) will close two Pittsburgh call centers in May, according to the several reports. The employees' unions, Communications Workers of America, AFL-CIO, Local 13550 and 13500 said that about 200 workers will be affected by the company's announcement.
However, Marty Richter, AT&T spokesman reportedly refuted claims by the employees' unions that the 200 workers would lose their jobs.
In addition, the company reportedly said it will try to reassign within the company as many of the 200 workers as possible who will be affected by the closing of two Pittsburgh call centers.
