SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/18/13 -- Acceleware Ltd. (TSX VENTURE: AXE) today announced the 100th course in its series of High Performance Computing (HPC) classes tailored to professional developers requiring advanced training to write faster and more efficient code for intense compute applications. Houston was the venue for the milestone course, instructing programmers from the energy industry on leading-edge software design and optimization for the NVIDIA® CUDA® parallel computing platform and programming model.
"Acceleware's first HPC course was taught in Saudi Arabia in 2009. Since that time 1,207 students on 5 continents have received training by our team of experts, learning how to craft applications that derive maximum performance from today's hybrid architectures to meet their companies' objectives," said Robert Miller, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer at Acceleware.
Acceleware's industry-leading programming courses are offered in CUDA, OpenCL™, MPI and OpenMP®. The courses are geared towards professional programmers who need to develop skills in application design and optimization for GPU accelerators, APUs, multi-core CPUs and FPGAs. The training is led by Acceleware programmers who bring the company's nine years of programming commercial high-performance applications to the classroom. The course content has been specifically planned to accelerate the learning curve with progressive lectures and plenty of hands-on exercises.
"The popularity of Acceleware's high-quality courses demonstrates that growing numbers of programmers are embracing GPU-accelerated computing for their engineering and scientific work," said Ian Buck, general manager of GPU computing software at NVIDIA. "I look forward to continuing our work with Acceleware to educate the next generation of CUDA programmers."
The 2013 GPU Technology Conference (GTC 2013) is the premier event for accelerated computing. Held in San Jose, March 18-21, the event showcases innovative research, applications and the latest advances in GPU technology. Acceleware will be delivering four CUDA tutorials at the conference and exhibiting on the conference floor in booth 604.
