LOS ANGELES, March 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- First-time author Armen Gharabegian is proud to announce the publication of Protocol 7, an epic novel that represents the first installment of a riveting high-tech, high-adventure trilogy that delves into the murky underworld of global conspiracy in the not-so-distant future. Bridging the gap between mystery thrillers and pure science fiction, Protocol 7 takes readers on a journey that spans the planet and explores a futuristic world where human existence hangs in the balance and technology holds the secret to both destruction and survival. This fast-paced adventure story is immersive, relentless and powerful. Gharabegian, an internationally respected artist and industrial designer, has created a near-future world that is both volatile and recognizable.
"The ideas behind Protocol 7 have been fomenting for decades," explains Gharabegian. "I've been figuratively submerged under the Antarctic ice for many years, creating the world, imagining the technology, and crafting characters. I'm just thrilled to have the opportunity to share it now with the release of the first part of the ARCTICA trilogy, through the help of many talented people."
Protocol 7 introduces Simon Fitzpatrick, a brilliant Oxford professor who is grieving the loss of his father Oliver who disappeared mysteriously in Antarctica. Unwilling to accept the official story, Simon assembles a team of scientists, inventors, doctors, and modern day warriors and embarks on an epic adventure to find his father. In the process, he unearths much more and inadvertently plunges himself into a subterranean ice-world where nothing is as it seems.
Protocol 7 is currently available through Amazon and as an e-book for Kindle or Nook readers. The second book is due out in 2014 with the third and final installment of the ARCTICA trilogy to follow in 2015.
