AREQUIPA, PERU -- (Marketwired) -- 04/09/13 -- SmartDTP, an international desktop publishing (DTP) service for the translation, localization and globalization industries, is exhibiting this week at the Localization World Singapore conference in Booth #12. The conference, produced by MultiLingual Computing, Inc., and The Localization Institute, will be held April 10-12 at the Singapore Shangri-La Hotel. The exhibit hall will be open April 11 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and April 12, from 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Localization World Singapore brings together top vendors and experts from around the world who will share their knowledge of how companies can succeed internationally and also reach multicultural and multiethnic audiences within their home countries. In addition to seminars and exhibits, there will be two evening networking events providing opportunities for attendees to establish alliances and partnerships.
"SmartDTP is exhibiting at Localization World because we recognize that this is a key conference for companies that want to grow their global business," said Lionel Cueva, CEO, SmartDTP. "In addition, attending this conference in Singapore is another step in our international business strategy, which is aimed in part at positioning SmartDTP closer to our growing portfolio of clients in this region as they strive to localize their technical materials both to and from character languages such as Chinese, Japanese and Korean."
SmartDTP expanded its services to Asia this month with a new office in the city of Tianjin, China, 30 miles by high-speed train from Beijing and home to 280 branches of Fortune Global 500 companies. In addition to being located near these companies, the new office provides SmartDTP greater access to desktop publishers who are native speakers of Asian languages, especially valuable when working with translation companies to localize their clients' materials. Translating these materials can significantly change a document's graphical layout, often requiring additional space to accommodate different character counts or writing directions.
