ST. PAUL, MN -- (Marketwired) -- 04/10/13 --
WHAT:
The Living Green Expo, which attracted more than 20,000 people to the Minnesota State Fairgrounds each year, has been cancelled indefinitely. Now, through a grass roots effort of local green businesses, the Grow! Twin Cities Expo has been created to fill the void and reenergize the green effort. This outdoor event follows the same principles of zero waste and promoting the benefits of green living through local businesses, but is being organized with a more home grown focus. With many of the same exhibitors and unique new exhibitors, improved workshops and activities, the Grow! Twin Cities Expo is designed to provide individuals and families with continued insights on how living green can be easy, can save them money and enrich their lives.
The Grow! Twin Cities Expo has something for everyone, including:
- $69 Rain Barrel Sale sponsored by Barrel Depot is offering the regularly priced $159 AmeriBarrel rain barrels that are Made in the USA with 20-30% recycled plastic for only $69 to help encourage rain water harvesting.
- A Bike Drive collection of used bikes to repair and fix in order to donate to others in need of bikes.
- A Kids Green Workshop fun activities and events for kids.
- Twin Cities Live and FM 107.1 Co-Host Elizabeth Ries will share her passion of urban farming and raising chickens in the city.
- Entertainment including musical performances, cultural dance and martial arts demonstrations.
- Workshops each hour learning and delving into the most topical and timely green subjects.
