WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Actavis, Inc. (ACT), on Tuesday said that the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit dismissed a decision by a United States District Court, labeling the company's generic contraceptive and anti-Acne drug Vestura, invalid.
The company said that it has relaunched the product propmptly.
Vestura first launched in January 2012, was removed from the markets, following a ruling from a District Court for the District of Nevada.
Vestura is a generic drug used indicated for the prevention of pregnancy and for the treatment of moderate acne in women at least 14 years old only if the patient desires an oral contraceptive for birth control.
