MILPITAS (dpa-AFX) - Linear Technology Corp. (LLTC) reported that its third-quarter net income was $110.97 million or $0.46 per share, compared to $98.50 million or $0.42 per share in the in the comparable quarter last year.
Non-GAAP net income was $129.66 million or $0.54 per share, compared to $114.02 million or $0.49 per share last year. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.44 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Quarterly revenues were $314.54 million up 1% from $312.36 million in the year ago quarter, while twenty three analysts had consensus revenue estimate of $313.46 million for the quarter.
The company said it is currently estimating fourth quarter revenue growth in the same range it guided last quarter, 1% to 4%. Twenty three analysts have consensus revenue estimate of $329.39 million for the fourth quarter.
