WEST JORDAN, Utah, April 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --West Ridge Academy is pleased to announce the opening of a new outpatient clinic for youth and their families on May 1, 2013. These services will be the newest addition to West Ridge Academy's ongoing efforts to provide a continuum of mental health care for youth within the community.
Since 1964, West Ridge Academy has provided outstanding clinical support for youth in need of mental health services within the residential treatment setting. Throughout the years West Ridge Academy has evolved and expanded the breadth of its offerings to meet the ever-changing challenges confronting youth and families. West Ridge is now excited to make outpatient therapy a formal part of its comprehensive treatment options.
"Adding an outpatient component to the great work we already do here at West Ridge Academy is an exciting endeavor we have been looking forward to participating in for some time now," states Ken Allen, executive director. "Our hope is that by providing these additional services we will be able to more fully offer hope and healing to the lives of struggling families within our own community."
West Ridge Academy's Outpatient Services will be directed by Rachel Noble, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) who specializes in adolescent mental health treatment and family work. Outpatient therapy will be available for children aged 8 and above, adolescents, young adults and families who find themselves struggling with depression, anxiety, school performance, ADHD, addiction, opposition and other mental or behavioral health issues.
