OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 05/01/13 -- Government House Leader Peter Van Loan will host an event in honour of the President of the Republic of Estonia, Toomas Hendrik Ilves, who is on a state visit to Canada.
President Ilves has strong personal ties with Canada. In his youth, President Ilves spent his summers at an Estonian summer camp located in Udora, Ontario. He was the Director and Administrator of Art at the Vancouver Arts Centre and taught at Simon Fraser University. He later served as Ambassador to Canada after Estonia's restoration of independence.
Remarks by President Ilves and Minister Van Loan, during the reception, will be open to the media.
