High End Munich is a prestigious International Trade Fair featuring over 350 exhibitors representing 900 brands at the Munich Order Center MOC. "In our first High End Munich event, we will deliver an authentic experience for audiophiles as well as the general public to enjoy our high performance products in addition to the visual art," said Velodyne President, Marta Hall. "Our distributor, Audio Reference, is a perfect partner for us in Europe's largest consumer electronics show."
Velodyne will launch and showcase its vFree, vTrue, and vLeve headphones, along with artistic skins, custom-designed to fit snuggly onto the headphones and snap effortlessly on and off for easy interchangeability. The headphone skins on display at High End Munich include designs by international artists Lucas de Alcantara, Francesco Orazzini, and Abel Del Rio. The President of Velodyne, Marta Thoma Hall is herself a recognized artist. "We bring the Fine Art experience into the public's daily life and wardrobe," Hall comments.
Marta Hall developed solid black and white headphone skins, which can be customized by artists and personalized by anyone. They are available on the company's website, www.velodyne.com and soon to be through worldwide distribution. "Why shouldn't our wardrobes and our cities be made of art? Art is about the soul and its expression reaches to the core of humanity," says Marta Hall. "Artists need support during the ups and downs of the world economy. Velodyne collaborates with artists to make soulful skins which are a canvas for self-expression."
So far, nearly 35 unique designs have been created for the headphones. Along with the one-of-a-kind art skins, Velodyne is exhibiting headphones and skins which are available to order.
To accompany the visual experience, attendees can also expect for their listening pleasure Velodyne's live demonstration of their newest subwoofers. The WiQ, named after IQ for its smart technology, is a wireless subwoofer with a wave-like design and powerful sound. Velodyne will host an experiential listening station for visitors to experience the headphone and subwoofer's full bass and overall "pure" sound for themselves. High End Munich 2013 runs through Sunday, May 12.
