VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/13/13 -- Superior Mining International Corporation (TSX VENTURE: SUI) (the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has received assay results from the first drilling program at its Redcastle Gold Property. The property is located approximately 250 km northeast of Kalgoorlie, in the Leonora-Laverton district of Western Australia in the highly prospective Yilgarn Craton region. Redcastle is close to major mining operations such as the Minara Nickel Operation, some 15 km to the north, and Barricks' Granny Smith gold mine located about 50 km to the east.
The drilling program was designed to drill through the transported overburden to intersect the bedrock over the most northern 2 kilometres from the property boundary. Granite was intersected under most of the area whereas basalt was intersected over the western portion.
A 3 kg sample was collected every four metres from the transported overburden and then a 3 kg sample was collected one metre into the rock interface.
Samples were then transported to Intertek Minerals Group (formerly Genalysis Laboratories, who have served the Australian mineral industry for over 30 years) in Kalgoorlie for sample preparation. Once preparation was completed, Intertek then transported the prepared samples to the Perth laboratory for analysis.
Duplicates and standards were inserted every 20th sample interval.
Anomalous gold values were intersected on the western portion. Most significant values returned in are:

A full listing of the drill results are attached in Appendix 1.
In addition to the drilling program, 119 infill soil samples were collected around the gold anomalies highlighted in the December 2012 soil geochemistry program. Duplicates and standards were inserted every 20th sample interval.
Infill sampling confirmed the 102ppb gold anomaly over porphyry from the December soil sampling program with sample RP399 assaying 208ppb. A full listing of the soil results are in Appendix 2.
Brent Butler, Chief Executive Officer and President, commented: "The Redcastle project is now primed for drilling testing with several gold anomalies to target at depth. The Company is pleased with the advancement of this project and looks forward to the next phase of drilling."
