WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Quaker Chemical Corp. (KWR) reported net income for the second quarter of $16.1 million or $1.22 per share, compared to $11.1 million or $0.85 per share for the year-ago quarter.
Excluding items, adjusted earning for the second quarter were $1.00 per share, compared to $0.90 per share in the prior year quarter.
Net sales for the second quarter rose 5% to $184.8 million from $176.8 million a year ago.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.92 per share for the second quarter.
