AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) is joining in the closing festivities of Amsterdam's renowned Gay Pride Week on August 4 with a tent at the Rainbow Market, free HIV testing, and a Cheap Chic Fashion Show at AHF's first international Out of the Closet Thrift Store
As Amsterdam's world-renowned week of Gay Pride festivities draws to a close on August 4, AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) will join in for the closing event through Amsterdam's Out of the Closet Thrift Store the thrift shop on Jodenbreestraat that is the first of the Foundation's Out of the Closet Thrift Store chain to be located outside of the United States. 96 cents of every dollar earned inside Out of the Closet Thrift Stores benefits the Foundation's work providing HIV testing as well as medical treatment and care for people living with HIV/AIDS in 28 countries worldwide.
About 8,000 people are expected to attend the Gay Pride Closing event in Rembrandt Square on the afternoon and evening of August 4, where AHF will be setting up a catwalk for a Cheap Chic Fashion Show showcasing the stylish vintage clothing available at Amsterdam's Out of the Closet. Additionally, the Foundation's Netherlands team will be operating an information booth at the Rainbow Market next to Rembrandt Square alongside a multitude of local LGBT and social organizations.
Also, just five minutes away from the Rembrandt Square festivities, free walk-in HIV testing will be provided inside the Out of the Closet Thrift Store at 158 Jodenbreestraat from 13:00 to 19:00.
