Cardinal Financial to Join the S&P SmallCap 600

NEW YORK, Aug.7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --Cardinal Financial Corp. (NASD: CFNL) will replace American Greetings Corp. (NYSE: AM) in the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on Friday, August 9. American Greetings is being taken private in a transaction expected to be completed on or about that date.

Cardinal Financial provides banking products and services to commercial and retail customers. Headquartered in McLean, VA, the company will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Regional Banks Sub-Industry index.
