OTTAWA (dpa-AFX) - Silver Wheaton Corp. (SLW) Wednesday said second-quarter profit decreased to $71.1 million or $0.20 per share from $141.4 million or $0.40 per share in the same period last year.
On average, 12 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.25 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenues totaled $166.9 million, down from $201.4 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $188.81 million.
