Alleyne currently serves as Vice President, Human Resources for Cox Virginia, overseeing all aspects of Cox Virginia Human Resources for the approximately 2,200 Cox employees statewide. She will continue this role in addition to her new responsibilities in Roanoke.

Alleyne replaces Kim Stanley Henderson who recently announced her decision to leave Cox to spend more time with her family. Henderson began her career with Cox Communications in 2007, serving as a market leader in Roanoke operations and Cox Business during her seven year tenure with Cox.

Additionally, Cox Communications named Margaret-Hunter Wade as Public Affairs Manager. In her expanded role, Wade will take on increased responsibility for leadership in community relations in the Roanoke Valley, along with employee communication and government relations duties.

"Cox is proud to have served the Roanoke Valley for 36 years and is committed to continuing to provide strong leadership and support for the community. Cox has invested more than $70 million in the Roanoke region network infrastructure and annually donates more than $1 million in cash and in-kind services to community partners in the Roanoke region," said Gary McCollum, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Cox Virginia. McCollum added, "With the addition of Vonya Alleyne and promotion of Margaret-Hunter Wade, Cox continues to focus on taking care of our customers, our employees and the community and providing state of the art services in Roanoke."

Alleyne joined Cox in 2007 as Director of Human Resources for Cox's Northern Virginia operation. In 2010, she took on a focused senior leadership role as statewide Human Resources Director for recruitment and retention. Since 2012, Alleyne has served as Vice President of Human Resources. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from James Madison University, a Master's degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix and a certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR). She is a member of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She is also on the board of the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC), Mid-Atlantic Chapter. Alleyne has two daughters and will relocate to Roanoke and be based out of the Cox Roanoke office.

Wade, a Roanoke native, joined Cox in 2007 supporting community relations there. Prior to joining Cox, Margaret-Hunter served as the Executive Director of the Arts Council of the Blue Ridge. She is a Washington & Lee University graduate with a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications.
