NASHVILLE, Tenn., Nov. 2, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Scarlett Family Foundation will accept applications until December 15, 2013, for financial aid to students from 40 Middle Tennessee counties. The scholarships are open to high school seniors planning to study business, and current college freshman, sophomores and juniors already pursuing a business degree at any not for profit, four-year college or university in the United States.
Scholarship amounts range from $2,500 - $15,000 a year, based on need, and are renewable awards for up to four years or until the recipient completes their undergraduate degree, whichever comes first.
Scholarships are open to high school seniors and college freshmen, sophomores and juniors who will graduate or have graduated from high schools in40 Middle Tennessee counties. The counties are: Bedford, Cannon, Cheatham, Clay, Coffee, Cumberland, Davidson, DeKalb, Dickson, Fentress, Franklin, Giles, Hickman, Houston, Humphreys, Jackson, Lawrence, Lewis, Lincoln, Macon, Marshall, Maury, Montgomery, Moore, Overton, Perry, Pickett, Putnam, Robertson, Rutherford, Smith, Stewart, Sumner, Trousdale, Van Buren, Warren, Wayne, White, Williamson and Wilson.

The Scarlett Family Foundation scholarship was established in 2006. To date, the Foundation has awarded more than $2,600,000 in scholarships. Scholarship winners are studying business at 53 universities in 17 states and the District of Columbia. The Scarlett Family Foundation is a member of the Southeastern Council of Foundations.
