JAKARTA (dpa-AFX) - Halcon Resources Corp. (HK) Monday said third-quarter loss widened to $859.9 million or $2.19 per share from $20.18 million or $0.11 per share in the same period last year.
Adjusted earnings for the quarter was $18.1 million or $0.04 per share. On average, 19 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.07 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenues surged 316 percent to $305.0 million from $73.31 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $267.98 million.
