PBI Actuarial Consultants Ltd. Opens an Office in Toronto

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 11/04/13 -- Tony C.L. Williams, President of PBI Actuarial Consultants Ltd., has announced the opening of the organization's third Canadian office in Toronto, Ontario.

Mr. Williams: "We are very excited about this expansion - it is a natural step in our growth as an organization serving clients throughout the country. The opening of our Toronto office will improve our ability to service our existing national clients and will enable us to meet the region's expanding demand, particularly in terms of actuarial and investment consulting services for multi-employer and target benefit plans."

H. Clare Pitcher, FSA, FCIA and Cynthia L. (Cindy) Rynne, FSA, FCIA will be the Senior Consulting Actuaries leading the Toronto office.

Clare and Cindy have over 50 years of combined experience as actuaries in the field of pensions, consulting to large Ontario multi-employer plans, public and private sector pension plans. In addition to providing support to the current consulting team serving some of our larger national clients, together they will focus on PBI's growth in Central Canada. Development of target benefit plan services will be an area of focus, as both Clare and Cindy strongly believe they can provide an attractive alternative to the traditional pension plan designs in the private sector, from both an employer and employee perspective.
