WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - American States Water Co. (AWR) Monday reported third-quarter profit of $20.8 million or $0.53 per share, up from $18.7 million or $0.48 per share in the same period last year.
On average, four analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.47 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenues dropped to $130.91 million or $133.89 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $137.11 million.
