WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - DaVita HealthCare Partners Inc. (DVA) Tuesday reported third-quarter profit of $136.63 million or $0.64 per share, down from $144.72 million or $0.75 per share in the same period last year.
Adjusted earnings for the quarter was $211.0 million or $0.98 per share. On average, 14 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.96 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenues improved to $3.0 billion from $1.95 billion last year. Analysts expected revenues of $2.93 billion.
