CHICAGO, Nov. 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Chicago Divorce Attorney and legal analyst Jeffery Leving (http://dadsrights.com) will join Mike North on Fox Sports Radio -XM 247 (NATIONAL) this Sunday, November 10th at 9:30 PM CST for an in-depth discussion of NFL bullying saga embroiling the Miami Dolphins. Jonathan Martin, an offensive lineman with the Dolphins, has allegedly endured harassment and hazing for the entire time he was with the Dolphins - a little over a season and a half. He left the team and the NFL earlier this week amid allegations that teammate Richie Incognito subjected him to a torrent of bullying and racist behavior. Incognito has been suspended indefinitely.
While most people see Incognito's conduct as inexcusable, some players have defended Incognito, instead questioning Martin's motives and his "toughness." In fact, Denver Bronco defensive tackle Terrance Knighton stated he believes Martin broke the "code of the locker room" and that "I feel like, as players, when it is player-to-player, it can be handled as players....I don't think (Martin) should have gone outside the team and expressed how things are going in the locker room."
Leving notes, "This appears to me to be a classic situation of 'blaming the victim.' In many athletic hazing situations the abusers claim that that the victims just need to 'toughen up.' It's time that the NFL take a hard look at bullying and hazing in its ranks and take a stand to end this practice."
Leving and North will discuss the implications of this scandal on the individual players, as well as the NFL as a whole.
