BENTONVILLE (dpa-AFX) - Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (WMT), the world's biggest retailer, said Friday that its board of directors has appointed Pamela Craig, retired chief financial officer of technology consulting firm Accenture plc (ACN), as a new member of the company's board, effective immediately.
Craig became the fifteenth member of the retail giant's board and will also serve as a member of the company's Audit Committee.
Craig, 56, has extensive experience in finance, technology and operations from her time at Accenture, a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company. She served as the company's chief financial officer from October 2006 until July 1, 2013. Craig retired from Accenture on August 31, 2013.
She currently serves on the board of directors and as Audit Committee chair for Akamai Technologies, Inc. (AKAM).
