Finanznachrichten News

HOUSTON, Nov. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Burleson LLP announced today that Randy Burton, Robert "Bob" Ballentine, and Don Hueske have been named among the 2013 Who's Who in Energy list compiled by the Houston Business Journal.

The announcement marks the second consecutive year both Burton and Ballentine have earned a spot in the prestigious listing, which is designed to honor the top industry influencers in eight major U.S. markets where energy is shaping the local economy.

Rick Burleson, managing partner of Burleson LLP, said the news reflects the firm's far-reaching litigation and title capabilities, and underscores the broad experience and industry understanding of the firm's attorneys.

"Randy and Bob have established themselves as two top litigators who deliver the kind of counsel that helps companies stay in front of changing laws and regulations, and effectively manage and mitigate risks facing the industry," Burleson added. "Don, on the other hand, is highly regarded for his title practice and his incredible ability to deliver the insight and depth of knowledge clients need for quick-turnaround due diligence projects.

"All three attorneys have built remarkable reputations based on solid performance and favorable outcomes, and this recognition only reinforces the value they bring to energy clients and the greater oil and gas sector."

Burton, a partner in Houston, has practiced commercial litigation for more than two decades and has successfully litigated on behalf of numerous exploration and production, service, and midstream companies. His extensive background includes the successful trial and appeal of two cloud-on-title cases to the Texas Supreme Court, and the litigation and appeal of two constitutional challenges to property taxation to the Texas Supreme Court. He is experienced in the Uniform Commercial Code, primarily Article 2, and has litigated warranty and indemnity claims for and against numerous manufacturers.

With more than 25 years of litigation experience, Ballentine, a partner in Houston, has an extensive background in complex commercial litigation and arbitration. He has counseled energy companies in a variety of disputes over upstream and midstream contracts, and has a broad background representing oil and gas clients in class actions in both state and federal courts as well as in litigation over state, federal, and private mineral royalty claims.

Hueske, a partner in Houston, practices oil and gas title law while providing leadership on the firm's Rapid Response Due Diligence® team. With a career spanning more than 30 years in the energy industry, Hueske has been an attorney for two decades and has extensive experience in all of the producing regions of Texas. He is Board Certified in Oil, Gas, and Mineral Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and has participated in a number of quick-turnaround due diligence projects.

Who's Who in Energy is published by the Austin Business Journal, Columbus Business Journal, Dallas Business Journal, Denver Business Journal, Houston Business Journal, Pittsburgh Business Times, San Antonio Business Journal, and St. Louis Business Journal. Individuals are selected for inclusion through internal research, industry outreach, and an open-nomination process conducted by the business journals of their respective cities.
