MANCHESTER, N.H., Dec. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --Lyophilization Services of New England (LSNE), a New Hampshire based contract manufacturing organization is pleased to announce that Shawn Cain has been named, Chief Operating Officer, a new position within the company. Mr. Cain joined LSNE in 2012 as Vice President of Sterile Manufacturing. In his new role, Cain will be leading operations, quality, regulatory, and will drive the overall strategic growth of LSNE. Shawn will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring companywide alignment with the corporate goals. Mr. Cain will report to Matthew Halvorsen, President and Chief Executive Officer of LSNE.

Mr. Cain's 28 year career includes extensive experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device industries. Shawn has held key management positions within operations at Organogenesis, Inc, Formatech Inc., Arbios Systems, Inc. and Becton Dickinson. Mr. Cain received his M.S. degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Massachusetts and a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Northeastern University.
