WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - El Paso Pipeline Partners, L.P. (EPB) reported that its fourth-quarter net income attributable to EPB was $159 million or $0.48 limited partners' net income per unit, compared to $178 million or $0.62 limited partners' net income per unit in the comparable quarter last year.
Revenues for the quarter rose to $391 million, from $390 million in the prior year quarter.
On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.51 per share on revenues of $389.07 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Further, the company reported its quarterly cash distribution per common unit of $0.65, payable on Feb. 14, 2014, to unitholders of record as of Jan. 31, 2014. This represents a 7 percent increase from the fourth quarter 2012 cash distribution per unit of $0.61 and remains flat from the third quarter 2013 distribution of $0.65 per unit.
As previously announced, EPB expects to declare cash distribution of $2.60 per unit for 2014, a 2 percent increase over the $2.55 per unit it will distribute for 2013.
