VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 01/17/14 -- Silver Stream Mining Corp. (the "Company" or "Silver Stream") (OTCQB: AGSM) announced today its Board of Directors has appointed Terrence Byberg as the Company's President and Chief Executive Officer, and a Director. Mr. Byberg brings 42 years of international experience to Silver Stream in the management and operation of mining companies. He recently joined Silver Stream as part of its newly formed Technical Advisory Team to advise the Company on the acquisition and operation of future projects.
Concurrently, Mr. R.M. (Mike) Robb, P.E., has been appointed to the Company's Board of Directors. Mr. Robb brings 47 years of international mining experience to Silver Stream as a mining engineer. He recently joined Silver Stream as part of its newly formed Technical Advisory Team to advise the Company on the acquisition and development of future projects.
Mr. Byberg will replace Robert Bell who has served as the Company's President and Chief Executive Officer since its inception. Mr. Bell comments: "Our goal has been to position the Company whereby we could attract a veteran management team to advance Silver Stream in today's challenging markets. Mr. Byberg was Founder and Vice President of Mining for Chieftain Metals, Inc. and was the Founder, President and CEO of Silver Eagle Mines, Inc. Mr. Robb was Vice President of Development for Silver Standard Resources and is Author of nine technical papers and co-author of one patent and one reference book.
Concurrent with these appointments, Robert Bell, Richard Novis and Barry Price will depart from their current Board and Management positions. Silver Stream wishes to thank each of these gentlemen for their service to the Company. Don Bossert, Silver Stream's Chief Financial Officer will replace Richard Novis as the Company's Corporate Secretary.
