CANBERA (dpa-AFX) - Japan will on Friday release preliminary December numbers for its leading and coincident indexes, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity. In November, they scores of 111.1 and 110.7, respectively.
Australia's central bank will release its statement on monetary policy, and also see the January results for the AiG Performance of Construction Index - which saw a score o50.8 in December.
China will see January data for the services PMI from HSBC and Markit Economics; in December, it came in at 50.9.
Malaysia will provide December numbers for imports, exports and trade balance. In November, imports were worth 52.53 billion ringgit and exports were at 62.25 billion ringgit for a trade surplus of 9.72 billion ringgit.
