WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - EnerNOC Inc. (ENOC) reported that its fourth-quarter net loss narrowed to $19.88 million or $0.71 per share, from a loss of $25.79 million or $0.96 per share, last year. Non-GAAP net loss per share was $0.51, for the quarter.
On average, nine analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss per share of $0.74 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Total revenues declined to $35.98 million, from $42.31 million, prior year. Analysts expected revenue of $35.89 million for the quarter.
Excluding the forecasted impact of the acquisition of Entelios and Activation Energy which was announced by the company on February 13, 2014: the company expects its first-quarter GAAP loss per share in the range of $1.13-$1.07; Non-GAAP loss per share in the range of $0.90-$0.84; and total revenue in the range of $38.0 million to $43.0 million. Including the forecasted impact of the acquisition of Entelios and Activation Energy: the company expects its first-quarter loss per share in the range of $1.20-$1.14; non-GAAP loss per share of $0.96-$0.90; and total revenue of $38.0 million to $43.0 million. Analysts expect the company to report first-quarter loss per share of $0.97 on revenue of $43.24 million.
Excluding the forecasted impact of the acquisition of Entelios and Activation Energy: the company expects its fiscal 2014 total revenue in the range of $430.0 million to $450.0 million; GAAP earnings per share in the range of $0.70 to $0.80; and non-GAAP earnings per share in the range of $1.47 to $1.57. Including the forecasted impact of the acquisition of Entelios and Activation Energy: the company expects its fiscal 2014 total revenue in the range of $435.0 million to $460.0 million; GAAP earnings per share in the range of $0.40 to $0.50; and non GAAP earnings per share of $1.25 to $1.35. Analysts expect the company to report fiscal 2014 earnings per share of $0.80, on revenue of $447.53 million.
