HONG KONG (dpa-AFX) - The Bank of Japan will on Friday release the minutes from its monetary policy meeting on January 21 and 22, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
At the meeting, the board decided to keep its monetary easing plan unchanged and retained its inflation forecasts for the next two years, strengthening expectations that the central bank may keep the policy steady at least for now.
Hong Kong will see inflation data for January; in December, CPI was up 4.3 percent on year.
