DENVER, Feb. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- On Sunday, April 13, New England's top 20 chefs and more than 750 hungry attendees will gather for the Boston Lamb Jam, a culinary cook-off where lamb fans will decide which chefs have earned their "chops" based on inventive American lamb dishes.
Competing for the titles of "Best in Show," "People's Choice" and "Best Leg, Breast, Shank and Shoulder," chefs will prepare a plate of American lamb to be voted on by lamb-loving attendees and Boston's top food media. The Boston victor will go head-to-head with other cities' Lamb Jam winners for the title of "Lamb Jam Master" at Savor the Central Coast in Calif. this fall.
Last year's winner, Chef Michael Scelfo of Alden & Harlow, took home three titles, including "Best in Show" for his dish, Smoked and Braised Lamb Belly on a Steamed Bun with Pickled Radishes and Herb Salad.
