WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Redwood Trust Inc. (RWT) Monday reported fourth-quarter net income of $25 million or $0.29 per share, compared to $42 million or $0.50 per share last year.
Redwood's REIT taxable income was $20 million or $0.24 per share for the fourth quarter compared to $18 million or $0.23 per share last year.
Net interest income for the quarter were $38 million compared to $20 million last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.28 per share and revenues of $36.19 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.
